Effect of Physiotherapy on Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
POKORNÁ, Nikola
This bachelor thesis deals with a problem of pelvic floor dysfunction and the effect of a physiotherapeutic intervention on them. The pelvic floor dysfunction is a very broad range of disorders which may accompany a woman all her life or they appear in relation to women's life cycle. Whether it is a painful menstruation, sexual intercourse, urinary incontinence or other difficulties, these disorders have always a great influence on the woman's quality of life. Given the fact that it is also a very multifactorial issue, a complex therapy is needed. Each time we must consider the individuality of a female patient, the state of her body and primarily of her mind. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, anatomy and kinesiology of the pelvic area is described, as well as the vertebrovisceral relations, selected pelvic floor disorders, characteristic functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and also the present physiotherapeutic methods. The practical part is concerned with own study, in which seven female patients participated. The effect of therapy of musculoskeletal system and its influence on the above-mentioned dysfunction was tested on them. An initial kinesiological analysis was performed on each patient, which showed her current problems and conditions of her musculoskeletal system. The functional disorders, which were found, were recorded to a table, since the patient's initial and final state could be better appraised that way. All patients underwent mainly a manual therapy and were educated on correct breathing and a corrected posture. Each patient was trained and received a booklet with a set of exercises, which activate the pelvic floor muscles, to do at home. The goal of the thesis is to summarize the issue, describe various physiotherapeutic methods and their effect on pelvic floor dysfunction. This thesis can be used for education of the professional and also lay public about possibilities of the pelvic floor physiotherapy, which is nowadays in great demand, but not so widely used like other physiotherapeutic techniques of different illnesses.
Trauma in Childhood among women using addictive substances
Budinská, Blanka ; Richterová-Těmínová, Martina (advisor) ; Kuda, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor work deals with the relations between traumatic experiences in childhood, deficient or dysfunctional family environment and the possible future development of addictive behaviors in women. It turns out that the experience of traumatic events in childhood can cause long-term and sometimes irreversible problem completely. These problems may be based on the circumstances involved in the future addictive behaviors. Based on the stories I have from women in residential treatment or after treatment heard with their consent and also due to the processing of information which I received, I find role in their next life and behavior should or could have this traumatic experience in their childhood.
Dysfunction of pelvic floor
Divišová, Kamila ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee)
Title: Pelvic floor dysfunctions Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine the effect of physiotherapy based on the methodology of Ludmila Mojzisova on patients that were showing pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms. The objective is to take the clinical picture of the patients and compare it to the typical findings of Mojzisova. Also to determine which one of the clinical history events had most likely the biggest impact on the development of the dysfunction. Methodology: For the assessment of the effectiveness of the therapy on the patient, I used the pain scale called visual analogic scale (VAS), that was recorded at the beginning and at the end of the therapy. For the comparison of the clinical picture, I used the aspection while focusing on the divergence from the posture and assessment of spasms and blockades according to Mojzisova. This was completed with a test of stretching maneuvers and deep and superficial sensation. In order to determine the root cause of the problem of each patient, I used their clinical history. Findings: This diploma thesis confirmed the benefit of the Mojzisova method therapy in lowering the pain levels and improving the functional state of probands. This was further confirmed by the clinical picture of the study subjects. The most probable root cause of the...

Eufunction and dysfunction in theories of collective action
Kinská, Michaela ; Maslowski, Nicolas (advisor) ; Německý, Marek (referee)
In this work, we deal with theories of collective action. To categorize the researchers used information from the functionalist approach. The aim is to provide an overview of sociologists concerned with theories of collective action, i. e. various forms of collective action. Mainly for this work is the concept of function and its distribution eufunction and dysfunction as two poles. Researchers are closer to those poles. The inclusion of researchers in these poles are still dealing with other characteristics that unite and differentiate. In the first chapters of the thesis deals with the functionalist concepts and theories of collective action. The next chapter is already engaged functionalist categorization and other characteristics researchers. The chapter is divided into two parts, which correspond to two functionalist terms, i. e. eufunction and dysfunction. Keywords functionalism, collective action, eufunction, dysfunction, crowds, social movements, revolutions, R. K. Merton, T. Parsons
The cognitive abilities of dogs
Tieslová, Markéta ; Fiala Šebková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Chmelíková, Eva (referee)
Cognitive skills of dogs is a very complex and broad topic. They consists of some distinctive parts which have to be studied deeply and as a consequence to interconnect the pieces of knowledge. To begin with, we start our analyses with the anatomical and physiological aspect of the dog´s brain function and its particular sences which are cruicial for learning about the world and its understanding. We continue with the processing of the gained stimuli. For the dog to be able to use their gained knowledge for further life, they necessarilly have to be able to remember them. This is why we touch the boundary to the memory part. The proper learning and motivation themselves are one of the biggest issues. It is the motivation which leads the dog to the learning. Certainly, domestication and cooperation with the dog´s new partner - man - has had a great influence on the cognitive skills during the evolution. The dog had to learn to differenciate the human signals as well as to read in the human face. We could perfectly point out on the wide range of differences in the bahaviour understanding of wolves and comtemporary domesticated dogs. While studying the cognitive skills of dogs we are facing a complex and wide sets of test which are to clarify dog´s thinking and problem solving. Based on those tests, the dog is seen as a very intellingent and at the same time independent creature, which understands very quickly and which can handle many sitiations in a flexible and complex way. The dog can also use its experience for their benefit. Cognitive dysfunction Syndrom by dogs is a distinctive chapter. Of course, the biggest influence on the dysfunction to come clear and be displayed is the age of the dog. After their 8 years the efficiency and life standard deteriorate drastically. It is necesarry to determine and detect such dysfunction and start to compensate it. Either by suitable and appropriate medical cure or by regular trainings with the owners. The truth is that the majority of owners still do not pay full attention to the worsing condition of their dog. What is more, they do not know about it nor do they have motivation and taste fot testing in veterinary premises. As a matter of fact, it is important to bring the education there, especially to the owners of older dogs .
Dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles and tailbone in relation to the functional disorders of other segments of the spine
KOMÁRKOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis is concerned with what influence a pelvic floor muscular dysfunction has on the coccyx as well as on other spine segments and also on the posture as such. In principle, this represents a shortening of the muscles attached to the coccyx, which causes a broad scale of problems, which are usually confined to other parts of the body. Back pain is a common problem in today's population. It is an impediment to normal life and causes such pain that it often leads people to an addiction to analgesics, be it in the form of drugs or sprays. Thus the treatment only addresses the symptoms and not the real cause, wherefore it lacks long-term effectiveness. The movement apparatus is greatly influenced by the current lifestyle. Very often, over long time, people only get very little movement, while, at times, they put their bodies under extreme load with negative health effects. Due to sedentary work, an inactivation takes place, of the musculature of the deep stabilizing system of the spine, an important part of which is, notably, also the pelvic floor, which supports the internal organs from bellow and plays an important role in the stabilization of the body center. Psyche and stress also play an important role in this problem. Especially in women with pelvic floor problems, the complaints are not confined to back pain, but they also appear in other areas, such as the stopping of the menstrual cycle or other menstrual irregularities, functional sterility, incontinence. If we respect the body as a whole, instead of focusing solely on the area afflicted with pain, we can improve the effectiveness of therapy and improve the living standard of a patient long-term. By relaxing the coccyx and pelvic floor musculature, in combination with the correct mode of breathing, the body is capable to rid itself of problems in higher segments of the spine. The main goal of this thesis is to find out to what extent it is possible to influence the dysfunction of the pelvic floor musculature and thus mitigate the problems in other spine segments. This is to be achieved, among other things, using exercise developed by Mojžíšová, which aims to complexly improve the dynamics of the entire spine and to strengthen muscular groups of the whole body. This bachelor thesis can be used as a source for clinical practicing physical therapists who are interested in the relationship between pelvic floor muscular dysfunction and other spine segments It can also be used as educational material for women suffering from this affliction.
